DESCRIPTION:All events will take place at the apiary\, Kent House Road Allotments. \nBeginners Day \nEVENT NOW FULL \nTea/coffee/biscuits provided.  Please bring your own lunch. \nWe hope to cover:\nWhy keep bees?\nWhat are honey bees?\nLife Cycle\nDivision of labour within the colony\nForage detection and forage collection\nHive design\nColony inspections (why\, how and when). \nActual colony inspections are entirely dependant upon the prevailing weather. \nThen\, throughout the active season\, apiary sessions are held each Wednesday evening at 7.00 pm.  These are apiary maintainance sessions at which beginners will be encouraged to take an active part. \nTo enquire\, please contact Bob Jackman at:- \nrfjackman@yahoo.co.uk
